Fun & Free Things to Do | SoCal | October
October Fun by Giulana
Being on a budget is hard. Especially living in Los Angeles. There are so many amazing things to see, do and eat. But, most things cost money, and funds can get dangerously low when you're living it up in the city of angels. So, more often than not, it's always a good idea to check out the local free things to do! I mean, no matter what state you are in, there HAS to be some free fun happening SOMEWHERE. Even if it is just hitting up your local library (I am technically banned from mine... long story... but you're not. I hope).
In this edition of Fun & Free Things to Do | So Cal we have listed several events that are occurring in the Los Angeles County area during the month of October that we would recommend you give a try. No harm in going to something that's free, right?

Oakdale Memorial Park 3rd Annual Día de los Muertos Cultural Festival and marketplace | October 26th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
This is a smaller Dia de Los Muertos festival, but well worth it. There are performers, vendors, and altars set up to commemorate the dead. I feel that this is an authentic way to experience this Hispanic cultural affair. My family and I have attended this event the past two years and it is a must do for us during the month of October.

This events brings out all the characters for Halloween and is a fashion show of costumes that you won't want to miss. This event is a Los Angeles highlight for the month of October.
